Quantitative Risk Analysis (QRA)

Utilizes industry applicable failure rate databases, mathematical

computer-based consequence models and event tree analysis, to

identify and quantify risks from all potential failure modes that could

result from design maintenance and operations. It can be used for new

or existing plants or projects. Results can be expressed as :

Overall frequency of failure

. Fatality - serious injury quantification (Average Individual Risk or Fatal

Accident Rate)

. Frequency of loss of assets (Capital Losses through accident events)

. Frequency of environmental impact

. Frequency of loss of production (Business Interruption)

CR utilizes custom built and industry-standard commercially available software tools

To facilitate the quantification of both frequency and consequences for accident events. these tools allow for the rapid development of a bespoke installation-specific risk model, which Is highly flexible and responsive to real-time engineering change during project development.

CR has been involved in the development and use of such skills in some of the largest onshore and offshore projects worldwide.

In the application of such assessments and analyses to each project, CR has been able to achieve significant cost savings while enhancing safety by implementing a proactive risk management approach.
